lyrics
There's a grey voice sounding 'round me
Pressing on my shoulders
But I don't believe it anymore
I heard a whimper in its roar
Yeah I'm gonna do it
Dancing on top of my grave
Gonna kick over my headstone
Gonna goose ya on my walk home
Don't care if I live or I die
Just want to walk in the light
Gonna dance all over my grave
Felt it sit there at my bedside
mocking all my heavy tears
Now I see I let it in
I won't make that mistake again
Don't care if I live or I die
Just want to walk in the light
Gonna dance all over my grave
You know, I've always kept my problems bottled up inside, alone
one day I said "you can't really die of embarrassment"
so if life leaves you behind - fuck it
Gonna dance all over my grave

This is a most exciting surprise bag of unusual songs, each of them thoroughly different from the other ones. But they have one thing in common: They are ingenious. It's not easy to find a drawer where to put this music in. I'm reluctant to use the term "experimental", because this can mean anything, and nothing as well. Out of the established genres, "alternative rock" probably fits best, but this music is so alternative that it blows up the confines of the genre. In my collection, I'm tagging music like this as "avantgarde", to express that it's somehow ahead of the usual listening experiences. Sven B. Schreiber (sbs)
